Recognising the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres, the ARIA Awards are the music industry’s annual night of nights.

Siblings Angus and Julia Stone triumphed winning album of the year for Down the Way and single of the year for Big Jet Plane. Washington was awarded with the ARIA for breakthrough artist for her debut album I Believe You Liar. Sia was in fine form accepting the ARIA trophy for Best Independent Artist.  Whilst Powderfinger ended an incredible career with ARIAs for most popular Australian artist and album, thrilling the crowd outside the Sydney Opera House with a farewell performance.
